Over Christmas, we managed to get to the Egyptian sun and visit the underwater world of Marsa Alam again. I enjoyed the diving but I was shocked at the state of the coral!

Along the coast and the shallow reefs, the corals are seriously damaged! Only at the reefs with some current, the soft corals survive. The only place where we found living fire coral was at the deep reef Shaab Sharm. Allthough the gorgonia at 30 meters is very heathly, a nice sight for sore eyes!
